The groups will work through concerns such as peer socialization/relationships, self esteem, family issues and transitions, school difficulties and more.
The extent to which children and adolescents possess good social skills can influence their academic performance, behavior, social and family relationships. Our groups are designed to explore the communication and social interaction that support successful and rewarding peer relationships.
Children and teens will be given tools to assist them in:
*Developing and maintaining friendships
*Becoming more assertive
*Reducing self-defeating behaviors
*Dealing with anger and aggression
*Self control strategies
*Self confidence/Self acceptance
