Hana Shiloach, LPC

Hana N. Shiloach, MA, LPC, is a licensed professional Counselor by the State Board of Marriage and Family Therapy Examiners of the State of New Jersey.   I hold a Master degree in Clinical Counseling from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and a Master in MPA from Harvard University. For more than 10 years, working both in hospital and private settings, I have been providing clients with safe, caring, supportive and a non-judgmental environment.  I worked with a variety of clientele, including, individuals, couples, families and groups, from a diverse cultural, ethnic, faith, and sexual orientation backgrounds. 
 
My specialty covers cases of depression, anxiety, anger, marital conflict, family conflict, occupational stressors, and other life stressors. In my approach, I utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).  Both techniques help clients to increase their self-esteem, improve mood, and ability to cope with multiple stresses, help clients learn to manage the strong emotions associated with depression, anxiety, anger, relationship stress, and life transitions. In addition, I teach my clients to learn new adaptive, healthy behaviors that empower and encourage them to make positive changes.  Most Importantly, my work is aimed at providing clients with skills that can help them manage symtoms and life stressors.
